Lawn Fertilization and good food have a lot in common.
We all thrive on eating good food, right?
When I get the chance to stop in to Layla’s Falafel or the lunch bar at Whole Foods and enjoy good, healthful food, a smile comes across my face. I’m more pleasant to be around. A kinder, gentler guy. The world is a better place. Know what I mean?
Good food. Good feeling. Good attitude.
Grass is a living thing, just like you and me.
It enjoys the warmth of the sun. It thrives in good, well fed soil. Good soil, good grass. Good grass (the under the foot kind; not the California, Colorado, Oregon Grateful Deadhead kind if’n you know what I mean!)… Anyway, good grass requires good, well fed soil.
And of course grass has its favorite foods.
These foods are what you and I refer to as fertilizer.
In nature, fertilizer is added in the form of dying plants, leaves falling, and other natural ‘waste’ products. Mooooooo!
As the wastes decompose, their nutrients are chowed down on by billions, literally billions of microbes.
Did you know that there are about as many microbes (beneficial bacteria, etc.) in a spoonful of soil as there are people on the planet.
Think about that: you are feeding billions of creatures that are the ‘machinery’ that make our lawn, trees, gardens healthy with each and everything you put on the lawn. And those critters are hawngry!
Feed them right!
That’s where we come in.
At Bren, Lawn Fertilization means we make sure to add the most important nutrients and at the right times.
For most lawns, especially the properties that make up Fairfield County Connecticut, I like to suggest Lawn Fertilization 4-6 times a year, depending upon your lawn/soil.
But it always depends.
Fertilizer is not a one kind fits all type of product. A new lawn needs a different treatment compared to an already thriving lawn. An old, crotchedy weedy lawn, needs lots more loving and support in the form of lawn food and nutrients.
Plus, there is always the option to use Organic Fertilizer, which is both great for your lawn’s health and your family’s health!
Don’t worry yourself about what is right for your property. Let us worry about that!
Call or Email Bren Landscaping today to get your lawn the food it’s “dying” for with our Lawn Fertilization Service!
Better yet, meet me at Whole Foods for a coffee and Kind bar and we can talk about which options are right for your property.
